PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANIES OF NIZHNY NOVGOROD PARTICIPATED IN CARRYING OUT AND SUMMARIZING OF THE MILITARY_PATRIOTIC MARATHON “THE CUP OF VICTORY – 2016”.

In Nizhny Novgorod, on the eve of Russia Day, at the monument to soldiers-internationalists, the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Public Organization “Veterans of the military actions of law enforcement bodies”, the Ministry of Education and social and legal protection of childhood of Nizhny Novgorod region in conjunction with the military-patriotic club “Bagram” led a grand summing up of the youth military-patriotic project “The Cup of Victory”.

       Over the last five years the Cup of Victory has become one of the largest and longest military-patriotic activities for adolescents and young people of Nizhny Novgorod region.

Competitions for the Cup of Victory - 2016 were carried out in several stages during January-May of 2016. They were attended by 32 teams with a total number of more than 250 people. Pupils of 5-11 years of secondary schools, graduates and members of the military-patriotic clubs of the city and the region, students of the junior years of the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and members of their families competed in the teams on the military-applied sports. Each team was head by veterans of fighting in Afghanistan and the North Caucasus.

Competitions for the Cup of Victory were held in order to ensure the continuity of generations of the Russian defenders, the perpetuation of memory of the heroes of Nizhny Novgorod, who fought and died in the fighting during the performance of military duty.

Preparations for the Victory Cup was carried out with the direct organizational and financial participation of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”, under the auspices of its General Director, member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council for Cooperation with private security organizations and private investigators at the Russian Interior Ministry, P.V. Kovalev.

For direct participation in the preparation and conduction of the competition, the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut” sent Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut”, A.V. Sidorenko.

During January-May of 2016 young men and women with great interest and willingness were participating in master classes on tactical and engineering training, intelligence and self-defense, which were carried out by true professionals - combat veterans, famous athletes and members of special divisions.

It should be noted in particular that the organizers of the event gave the participants an excellent material base. Boys and girls in practice acquainted with samples of small arms of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the armament of the Russian army and the Interior Ministry today. During the familiarization with the weapon, the competitors, in addition to their technical characteristics, with great interest listened to the story about the history of its creation and deeds of the Russian soldiers and the Interior Ministry officials, who used the weapon in a real battle for the protection of our homeland and in the fight against terrorists. It was especially important that the story of the military affairs were carried out by combat veterans and members of the special units.

The winner of the competition was the team of the MPC “Phoenix” (Sovetsky district). The second place went to the teams of “Wolfhounds”, MPC “Bagram” (the Municipal budget educational institution school № 176). The third place - team “Storm-1” of the cadets of the Nizhniy Novgorod Academy of the MIA of Russia. Among the teams of parents – participants of competitions, the winner was the “Daddy can” team (parents of members of the MPC “Bagram”).

This very interesting and dynamic event ended with a shared parade of the participants of the competition and summarizing its results.

During the ceremonial parade of the meeting participants, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut” A.V. Sidorenko congratulated the participants on the successful completion of such an important and necessary event, wished the young men and women to achieve high results in military-applied sports.

However, he stressed that the results and military-applied knowledge obtained in the course of participation in the competition are needed to be improved, it is necessary to involve their friends in the clubs.

Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut” A.V. Sidorenko in his speech also stressed the importance and necessity of the work of military-patriotic clubs, good training of participants of the fees, particularly noting that the lessons in the clubs must be accompanied by an excellent study in educational institutions that they represent.

A.V. Sidorenko read out a greeting to the participants of the Victory Cup by Member of the Presidium of Coordination Council for Cooperation with private security organizations and private investigators at the Russian Interior Ministry P.V. Kovalev, spoke about the work of private security structures of the city, examples of courageous and selfless actions of private security guards of the Association “Berkut” to ensure law and order, protection of life and health of residents of the city and the region and gave the Victory Cup winners deserved awards.
