Beach football

On June, 2^nd at the Grebnoy channel, within the framework of the “Fitness-Fiesta” Sports Festival there were held competitions on the beach football. The aim was promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle, involvement of young people to the sport. The event was supported by the Department of Sports and Youth Policy of the Administration of Nizhny Novgorod.

The team of “Berkut” has already participated in this event, and 2 years ago the players of “Berkut” took the 3^rd place in the beach football competitions. This time, taking the 1^st place in their group, “Berkut” met with the “MODERNO” team at the semi-final. After the first half the score was 20 in favor of the opponent (“MODERNO”). But, being able to mobilize all forces, until the end of the second half, the “Berkut” team managed to level the score. And in a penalty shootout the football players of “Berkut” were more accurate.

At the final match with the team of “Blatt-committee”, “Berkut” did not leave the opponent any chance, winning the match with the score of 3:0, thus, becoming a winner of the III Open Cup on beach football of the “Fitness-Fiesta” Sports Festival.
