“Berkut” – “Volna-FFC”. The champion couldn’t win

At the behest of the calendar, the first round in the Premier League is not over. Therefore, it is hardly possible to talk about the game of “Berkut” – “Volna-FFC” as the decisive match of the tournament. Important - yes. Super interesting - yes. Unpredictable - is also true. Several hundred spectators came to see that fight, and, of course, it was very pleased to see the Sports Complex “Meshchersky” filled with fans. If we look a little into the past, we will learn that the “Volna-FFC” team has never beaten the “Berkut” team. With all this, for example, last year, “Volna-FFC” became the champion. Maybe it was a complex in relation to “Berkut” or not, but to win at this match for “Volna-FFC” meant a lot. “Berkut” also had no problems with motivation – the team has already stumbled twice, losing to “Sormovo” and “Vertex”. The loss of points in the game promised very serious problems – that day the fight for the championship in the Premier League has gathered just four teams, and so far they are at the same level – “Sormovo”, “Vertex”, “Berkut”, “Volna-FFC”.

Speaking about the game, on the field we saw almost all the best players. As for “Berkut”, Bystritsky was absent, and that, of course, was a serious loss for the attacking team's potential. But “Berkut” started the game with the first number and its captain Chegolin - only the goalkeeper of “Volna-FFC” Karasev was able to restrain a breakthrough with a crazy speed, all the players stayed behind. “Berkut” played more interesting, especially near the alien penalty. Telegin, whose time would come, broke dangerously, and finding a good moment to strike, was little inaccurate. In the first half "”Volna-FFC” replied the moment to the moment, and there were also very good attacks to excel. A strike of Rogozhin from the fly, however, was beautiful, but very dangerous. But here Kirillov, who decided to “check” the last defender Serebryakov exactly between the legs, barely was waiting for the punishment in the form of a missed goal, but the ball inexplicably flew over the crossbar. One of the best players in the Premier League - Alexander Ageev, once again disturbed the goalkeeper of “Berkut” Rodionov. But though his shot was accurate, he lacked the strength. “Berkut”, clearly caught the change of course in the game, again took the initiative in its hands. And here and there - in all areas of the field Alexander Telegin was in time. After one of the throws he fantastically took the ball by his foot in-flight, and it was like glued and down next to him. Applause on the tribune! However, he wasn’t allowed to hit at this point – he was blocked immediately. A minute later Telegin had already to score - a powerful blow, it seemed, flew into the gate, but found a leg of Ageev and bounced off it to the crossbar. But “Berkut” has not left the field for the break without a goal - a penalty kick, the player of “Berkut” scattered like beat. 1-0! Of course, it was Aleksander Telegin, who fully deserved his goal! Before the whistle for the break “Berkut” was able to make the score of 2-0, but Maxim Kirillov didn’t reach a brilliant pass of Telegin.

In the second half, “Volna-FFC” had to go ahead and prove that the team had the championship ambitions that season. Perhaps the most dangerous player in the team was Maxim Serebryakov, who several times well-aggravated the game, and earned a dangerous free kick due to his ability to put the body firmly. But all that did not end in a goal, as well as a kick of Ageev. But at the opposite gate of Karasev the situation was very restless. First Kirillov went to the center and unexpectedly shot from the right foot, and it was really dangerous. And then there was a goal - on the edge Chegolin figured out Ageev, popped one on one with Karasev and with soft “shovels” sent the ball to the corner. It was simply a masterpiece! Moreover, in such match! 2-0! Time was passing, but “Volna-FFC” was able to think nothing really good. Golubev was probably reposed trust on, who has spent a luxurious season, Ageev was unrecognizable. “Berkut” was able to score, and Telegin again did everything for the partner, but Rodin struck near the crossbar. Nine minutes before the end of the game “Volna-FFC” produced the fifth field player. “Volna-FFC” completely got the ball and the team-champion created a few good chances. And then there was a goal - but here “Berkut” himself invented this moment, fidgeted with the ball near his own penalty, and Ageev with his powerful blow sent the ball into the top corner gate. It seemed that here it was the impetus that would allow “Volna-FFC” to get back in the game, and to show their strengths to its leading players. But “Berkut” at this moment has “killed” all the hopes - Chegolin exactly in the same place near the sideline similarly beat Meleshin, went one on one with the goalkeeper and with “shovels” sent the ball to the corner. Somewhere we have already seen it. 3-1. “Volna-FFC” looked like it didn’t believe in the positive outcome of the match. Of course, there were several good moments near the gate of “Berkut” when the most was played, but Telegin, improving the moment, scored into the empty net from his half of the field. 4-1. It was a double of the match, led delightfully by Alexander Telegin. But this defeat was clearly not a disaster for the “Volna-FFC” – there will be a lot of games in future, and most importantly, there is a return game in the second round. Here already there is no place to retreat.
