IN NIZHNY NOVGOROD THERE WAS HELD A MINI-FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT FOR JUNIOR TEAMS TO WIN THE CUP OF THE ASSOCIATION “BERKUT”

On February, 24^th in Nizhny Novgorod there were held competitions on mini-football for junior teams to win the Cup of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”.

The competitions were held on the base of the Sports Complex “Schelkovsky”.

The organizer of the competitions was the Sports Complex “MFC “Berkut”.

“The Sports club “Berkut” in 2014 won the silver medal of the championship of Russia on mini-football, and in the seasons of 2013 - 2014 the club won the championship on mini-football of the city of Nizhny Novgorod three times in a row.

In 2015 “The Sports club “Berkut” won the IV Football Tournament for security companies of Russia, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

During five years the Sports Club MFC “Berkut” has been actively leading the sponsorship work with the children's football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1 for orphans. The coach of the MFC “Berkut” Club and the best players of the team have been leading trainings and master classes with young players, donating them equipment and sports requisites.

The long-term patronage work has been yielding its results. So, the senior group of the football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1 has taken the first place at the district Sports Festival “Sports Olympus of the Volga Region” for children from orphanages. Their younger comrades showed themselves worthily - in the town of Yeisk at the National Summer Sports Festival “Small Games of Goodwill” for children from orphanages and boarding schools, the youngest group of the mini-football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1 also has won the first place.

Taking into account the good dynamics of development of the sponsored football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1 and in order to establish and maintain strong sporting and friendly relations with the junior football clubs of Nizhniy Novgorod and the region, General Director of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut” P.V. Kovalev decided to establish the Association Cup, which is held each year to the Homeland Defender Day and Victory Day.

According to the Regulations on carrying out the competitions for the Cup of the “Berkut” Association, the host party is the football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1, which invites to the tournament the best junior mini-football clubs of Nizhny Novgorod and the region.

At the competitions for the Cup of the Association, dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland there were invited the first and second compositions of “The Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic reserve №8 on football”, from the walls of which for 39 years a large number of children has been produced, played and playing for the professional football clubs of Russia and abroad. Many graduates are winners of the All-Russia, international competitions and the CIS championships.

At the opening of the competitions for the Association Cup,  Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut” A.V.Sidorenko made a speech for the participants, who congratulated the young players with the participation in such a representative tournament, spoke about the role, objectives and achievements of the Association “Berkut” in ensuring safety of residents of Nizhny Novgorod, sports achievements of its employees and, in particular, the football team of the MFC “Berkut” Club.

Herewith A.V. Sidorenko stressed that the meeting with such eminent contenders demanded from the football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1 very serious preparations and expressed his confidence that this will allow it to show a high level of sportsmanship at the upcoming tournament.

Cups of any level are always different with its exigencies, unpredictability, emotionality and desire for victory. The last competition was no exception. Of course, the football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1 was markedly inferior to so eminent contenders, but its strong party was selfless desire to win, a sharp struggle in every game episode, desire to show a decent level of football.

Handed the Cup of the Association to the winners, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut” A.V. Sidorenko said that the last tournament allowed the football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school № 1 getting experience in cup competitions, improving their athletic skills, enhancing friendships with peers from “The Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic reserve №8 on football”.

The meeting of friends and rivals was completed with a friendly tea party, during which the vicissitudes of the match were roughly discussed, there was an exchange of phone numbers and badges, companionship - in other words, everything that is characterized by a very capacious and meaningful word of “friendship”.
