IN NIZHNY NOVGOROD, BASED ON THE ASSOCIATION OF GUARD AND LEGAL COMPANIES “BERKUT”, THERE WAS HELD A CHILDREN’S HEROIC-PATRIOTIC GATHERING, DEVOTED TO THE DAYS OF MILITARY GLORY OF RUSSIA

    A children’s heroic-patriotic gathering in honor of the Day of Military Glory of Russia was held in Nizhny Novgorod. It was organized on the base of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut” and was dedicated to two memorable dates of the Russian military history, which, according to the Federal law of the Russian Federation “On the days of military glory (victory days) of Russia” are celebrated in November - December – the Day of national unity (4 November) and the Day of the beginning of the Soviet counterattack against the German fascist forces in the battle of Moscow, in 1941              (5 December).

    The gathering was held jointly with the leadership of the “Profession” Atelier project, with whom the Association “Berkut” has developed long-standing partnerships during the conduction of similar activities.

Children of the employees of the Association “Berkut”, as well as pupils of secondary schools and lyceums of the city took part in the gathering.

The gathering was lasting for five days and was aimed at forming for children and teenagers the need to fill their free time with energetic and constructive activities, teaching them patriotism, loyalty to the heroic traditions of the Motherland defenders of different generations, pride of the glorious history of Russia and Nizhny Novgorod region.

During the first day of the gathering, its participants with great interest familiarized with exhibits of the Museum of private security, which was decorated with a new exhibition “We remember”, dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and the Gallery of Fame of the Nizhny Novgorod private security. Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut” introduced the history of the private security to the young visitors of the Museum, its objectives, which the private security solves today for ensuring security to the residents of Nizhny Novgorod.

In the specialized class of tactical and special training, a lecturer of the Academy of Security “Berkut” A.I. Kuzin briefed the young guests of the Academy with special tools and means of communication, used in the private security.

With great interest and enthusiasm the participants of the gathering took part in shooting competitions, which were preceded by their acquaintance with the exhibition of service weapons, used in the private security, as well as mass-dimensional copies of a weapon, used by our soldiers during the Great Patriotic War. The participants of the gathering were given the opportunity to shoot from a pneumatic version of some weapons.

During the second day of the gathering there was held a meeting of its participants with the head coach of the mini-football club “Berkut” A. I. Prosvirnov.

Alexander Ivanovich told the gathering participants, many of whom are his fans, about the training process and sports achievements of the team. A significant event of the year of the anniversary of the Victory was the participation and brilliant victory of the Sports club “MFC “Berkut” in the sixth football tournament among security companies of Russia, devoted to the 70^th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Despite the busy training process, the Sports Club MFC “Berkut” leads an active voluntary work with a children's football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school №1 for children-orphans. The coach of the MFC “Berkut” Club A.I. Prosvirnov and the team's best players hold trainings and master-classes with young football players, giving them free gear and sports equipment.

Further, A.I. Prosvirnov and the team's best players of the MFC “Berkut” team held a master-class on mini-football with the participants of the gathering, during which they showed the most effective tactical and technical techniques of the game that they use during matches.

The participants of the gathering were able to apply immediately in practice the acquired knowledge during a friendly match with the football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school №1, which, despite the young age of its members, under the direction of A.I. Prosvirnov, has achieved high sports results. In particular, the older group of this football team took the first place at the district sports festival “Sports Olympus of the Volga region” for orphans. Their younger comrades showed themselves excellent at the all-Russian summer sports festival “Small games of Good will” for children from orphanages and boarding schools,  the junior mini-football team of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school №1 also took the first place.

The friendly match was distinguished by humility, emotionality, and desire to confront worthily rather famous peers on the field. Of course, the result was not slow to affect –the friendship has won.

Further, the participants of the gathering met with Director of the private security organization “Bastion”, Colonel of the Air Force reserve and a veteran of Afghanistan and a peacekeeping mission in Yugoslavia, Cavalier of the Order “For service in the Armed Forces of the USSR” and many, including foreign awards, N.N. Nesvit. The gathering participants with great interest listened to the story of the veteran about his service in Afghanistan, peace-making contingent of the United Nations in Yugoslavia, has reviewed equipment items of a combat pilot, including an unusual relic – an anti-sniper bandage of a participant of the UN peacekeeping contingent.

During the third day of the gathering, the participants took part in the thematic quiz, dedicated to two memorable dates of the Russian military history, which are celebrated in the first week of November – the Day of national unity (4 November) and the Day of the military parade at Red Square in 1941.

A logical addition to the conducted quiz was a visit to the history Museum of the Main Directorate of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod region, during which the Museum guides told the participants of the gathering about the history of formation and development of the Nizhny Novgorod police.

Next, the participants of the gathering met with an employee of the Association “Berkut”, a participant of military operations in the Caucasus, with three wounds, Cavalier of the Courage Order and a Medal of the Order “For merits for the Fatherland”, Captain of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reserve, Alexey Yukhlin, which in 1999 was personally handed a nominal military weapon by Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Alexey Yukhlin told the participants of the gathering about the fighting in which he participated, heroic acts committed by him, for which he received such distinguished awards. Wherein Alexey noted that only good physically fit soldiers can achieve victory over the enemy, so it is important for the participants of the gathering to do sport systematically.

The participants of the gathering had the opportunity to start implementation of the recommendation of the veteran immediately. An employee of the Association “Berkut”, a master of sports in samba O.V. Skorodumov and a teacher of special physical training of the Academy of Security “Berkut” S.M. held with them a master class on self-defense.

According to the gathering participants and their parents, the event was very informative and educational for the participants. Also there was expressed an unanimous wish to organize similar events in the future.
