On November 20th, 2015 in the hall of the Board of the Russian MD MIA of Nizhny Novgorod region there was held a solemn event, dedicated to the celebration of the 92nd anniversary of formation of the district militia service in the system of the Internal Affairs bodies.
The following persons took part in the ceremony: Chief of the Russian MD MIA of Nizhny Novgorod region, Lieutenant-General of police I.M. Shayev; Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod region A.N. Tarasov, Member of the public Council of the Main Directorate and Chairman of the Board of veterans P.I. Sibirev, military Commissar of Nizhniy Novgorod region Colonel A.N. Pakov, as well as representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration, heads of services and divisions of the regional administration.
The Nizhny Novgorod security community was represented by Member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council on interaction with private security organizations and private detectives at the Russian MD MIA of Nizhny Novgorod region A.V. Sidorenko.
When opening the event, Chief of the Russian MD MIA of Nizhny Novgorod region, Lieutenant-General of police I.M. Shayev noted that “the division of local police officers is the foundation of all services of the bodies of Internal Affairs. The local police officers are engaged in the prevention, surveillance, detection and disclosure of crimes on their site. The work of the local policeman, first of all, is the work with people. The local police officer should know people on his site, what problems they have, how they live. The staff of the district militia service in the region, and this is 1123 employees, conscientiously performs assigned tasks and has good results of the performance. For 10 months of 2015, the police of Nizhny Novgorod, including local inspectors, discovered more than 5,000 crimes”.
Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod region A. N. Tarasov stressed in his speech that the profession of a local police inspector is difficult, painstaking, and worthy of deep respect. But, perhaps, the most important in their work is the ability to establish a stable contact with the population, to earn trust. On duty every day they face the fates of different people, and then they are not only guardians of the law for them, but also psychologists, and often the first urgent care. To date, we can say confidently that the local police officers represent worthily the face of the service, faithfully perform their duties, entrusted to them, and achieve high results in the fight against crime.
A. N. Tarasov congratulated those present on the remarkable date, thanked everyone for their selfless work, wished good health, happiness, well-being and further success for the benefit of the Fatherland and presented the Letters of Thanks of the regional Parliament to the best district police officers.
Member of the Public Council at the MD MIA of Russia P.I. Sibirev said that the local police officers are the central figures in ensuring protection of the public order. Today, it is a renewed, undergone thorough reorganization, system of divisions as a part of the Internal Affairs bodies. Continuing the glorious traditions of the older generations, employees of the Internal Affairs bodies are doing their best to counter the rise of crime, maintain the public order and ensure protection of citizens.
A. V. Sidorenko, on behalf of the Coordination Council on interaction with private security organizations and private detectives at the Russian MD MIA of Nizhny Novgorod region and Member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia P.V. Kovalev, congratulated those present on the significant date and emphasized that the district police officers have always been the main link of the Internal Affairs bodies with the population. They are the closest to people and more likely to seek help. In the majority, the population judges the law enforcement bodies in general according to activities of the district police officers, and therefore their task is always difficult.
Private security structures of the city and region are in a constant contact and interaction with the service of local police officers and every day are convinced of the highest level of their professionalism and fidelity to their official duty.
The Nizhny Novgorod private security structures address the individual words of appreciation to veterans of the service, all those, who, for many years, from day to day were carrying out on their shoulders the hard burden of the local police officer and, being on higher positions, have organized this work.
Their experience and professionalism became a solid foundation, on which traditions of the service of local police officers have been developing successfully, and the younger generation of defenders of the law and order is brought up.
