The MIA offers to remove the police’s obligation to take exams for private security guards

The MIA of Russia suggests excluding from the law "On the police" the norm obliging to take the qualification exam of applicants for the status of a private security guard. The appropriate project was published on the portal of projects of the normative legal acts.

The department believes that this function is not peculiar to the bodies of Internal Affairs, and therefore it may be given directly to educational institutions that educate and train employees of security structures.

“According to the Federal Law “On education”, a qualifying examination as a kind of the final assessment of citizens is held by the organization engaged in educational activities... for relevant professions of workers, positions of employees", — stated in the explanatory note to the document.

The authors of the bill give the example of the already established current law enforcement practice, according to which the examination in the vast majority of cases is carried out on the basis of educational institutions.
