The Administration of licensing and permitting work of the Russian MIA reminds owners of civilian weapons and citizens who have the qualification of a private security guard, that the Federal law "On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation" № 230-FZ has made amendments to the Law "On private detective and security activities in the Russian Federation" and the Federal law "On weapons".
In accordance with them:
- private investigators are required to submit annually to the Internal Affairs body that issued the license for private detective work, a medical report about the absence of medical contraindications to the implementation of private detective activities;
- private security guards are subject to an annual medical examination for the presence or absence of diseases preventing the execution of the duties of a private security guard;
- to obtain the license for weapon acquisition, a citizen of the Russian Federation is obliged to submit a medical report about the absence in the human organism of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their metabolites, obtained after passing chemical and toxicological investigations of the presence in the human organism of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their metabolites.
