Will the MIA staff reduction affect the private security?

Recall that On July 13th, 2015 Vladimir Putin signed a Decree on stuff reduction of the Russian internal affairs bodies by 10%. In this connection, the RF Public Chamber is going to request information about the divisions, where the quantity should be reduced and how much, from the department.

According to the MIA press-center, the reform will affect not those, who directly work with the population, i.e. operatives, patrolmen, local policemen and inspectors on affairs of minors, but managers of the regional and higher level. Also employees of the divisions of the non-departmental security of stationary objects, which can be handed over to PSEs, will trouble.

The Commission of the RF PC on security thinks that the reduction of the non-departmental security is inadvisable, as it works with owners of objects and property on a contractual basis, and the income goes to the state treasury. Transference of the objects to the hands of the non-state security structures, as Chairman of the Commission Anton Tsvetkov believes, is not economically profitable, and in some cases – impossible, as not everyone is able to pay for services of the private security.

According to representatives of the private security, this “castling” is very beneficial for the state and PSEs. For the state – because it is not necessary to allocate funds from the budget, for the PSEs – because they get a new field for their activities.
