The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to change the size of the fee for a gun license

From the edition: the article of the correspondent of “Moscow Komsomolets” Eva Merkacheva is published without cuts. To remove some comments at once – the ALPW of the Russian MIA doesn’t have any relationship to the increase of the price for the licenses, changes will be made to the Tax Code, and accordingly, another department deals with the document.

Those who will make it through the Internet will be offered a discount. The Russians, who come to get a permit to own and carry weapons, had to fork out. However, if the future owner of a “trunk” submits an application through the portal of the state service, he will get a discount.

As it became known to “MK”, the MIA has prepared a draft document, which will affect all, who want to own weapons.

Up to now they had to pay a one-time fee for issuance of licenses and permits, which ranged from 0,1 to 2 of the minimum wage depending on the type of weapons.

Now it is proposed to replace it with the state tax, the size of which will be from 2,000 rubles and higher.

The significant price increase, according to the plan of officials, will stimulate people to apply for licenses and permits to the Single portal of the state and municipal services (in this case there will be a 30 percent discount).

In the end, according to the MIA forecasts, the quantity of the citizens’ appeals in the electronic form will be increased and queues will be less.

It is noteworthy that the draft law has many opponents: according to experts, if it is accepted, only the citizens will pay more for the ability to own weapons, but for legal persons, on the contrary, the amounts of payments will be reduced (they don’t have to pay for each unit of a weapon, as it is now).
