The Cup of “the Football League of Security 2015”

On May, 16^th 2015 the team of the sports club “Berkut” took part in the competition for the Cup of “the Football League of Security 2015”. The event was dedicated to the important for all Russians date – the 70^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and was held in the arena of the athletics football complex “CSKA”.

            The opening ceremony was attended by: First Deputy Head of the ALPW of the Russian MIA, police Colonel, A.A.Malikov, Deputy Head of the Department of the ALPW of the Russian MIA, D.A.Lazarev, Chairman of the All-Russian Union of the non-state security sector, D.E.Galochkin and others.

            Parting and congratulatory words to the participants and guests of the tournament were said by veterans of the Great Patriotic War – 95-year-old Yakov Markovich Bershitsky and 90-year-old Stella Markovna Bravaya. They shared memories about the difficult war years and wished never to experience all the hardships, which they had to face with.  In memory of those killed there was announced a minute of silence.

            Then there was a presentation of songwriters I.V.Mikhalevich and O.E.Yukhanov, which performed the author’s song, dedicated to the tournament of the athletics football complex.

            Accompanied with the sounds of the orchestra, Yakov Markovich and the specially invited guest of the tournament, Russian football player, honored master of sports, player of the “CSKA” team, Evgeny Aldonin, made the first symbolic kick of the ball, thereby opening up the football tournament.

Then Evgeny Aldonin held a toss of the teams. The team of the Association “Berkut” was drawn in the group A together with the teams, represented the PSE “Mangust-Service”, PSE “Gazprom security”, GK “Devyatyi val” and PSE “Persei”.

This year 11 teams have taken part in the Cup of the “FLS 2015”, three of which have participated for the first time. Among the newcomers at the Cup there was the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”.

Before the start of the competition, the official support group of the Moscow club “Spartak”, three-time Russian Champion on cheerleading – “Bagira” – pleased the participants and guests of the tournament with its exciting performance.

The Russian TV journalist, well-known sports commentator of the TV channel “Russia”, which doesn’t need any additional presentation – Grigory Tvaltvadze – held the event.

As in previous years, there were a lot of fans at the stands, which supported their teams very actively: with chants, fifes and flags! At this time kids together with a wonderful Tiger played football for children, participated in relay races, competed in strength and agility.

The teams were preparing for that tournament with great responsibility. The level of the teams’ training, compared to previous games, has grown significantly, because at stake there was not only the game of the main Cup of the “FLS”, but also the temporary Cup, established this year for the first time by the “Coordination Council for cooperation with private security organizations and private detectives at the Russian MIA”.

The performance of a popular folk ensemble of the MIA, “Gornitsa”, made a splash, the fans not only sang well-known and famous songs, but even began to dance.

During the tournament, on the arena specially ambulance crews and medical staff were on duty, whose help, unfortunately, as a result of fierce fighting, took several players. 

            As a result of the hardest matches, the following commands got into the semi-final: the Security group “DUBROVNIK”, the PSE “Gazprom security”, the PSE “RUSSIAN RAILWAYS-SECURITY”, and, of course, the Association of guard and legal companies “BERKUT”.

Two teams-newcomers of the tournament of the “FLS 2015” managed to get into the semi-final, which fought each other for the finals. With the score of 3:0, the Association “Berkut” won a landslide victory over the team of the PSE “Gazprom security”.

Two teams met in the final: the Association “Berkut” and the Security group “DUBROVNIK” – a multiple winner of the last games. In the difficult for both teams match, the team of the sports club “Berkut” won with the score of 1:0.

The legend of the Moscow team “Spartak”, honored master of sports of Russia, Yury Vasilievich Gavrilov took part in the awarding ceremony.

By tradition, the football star held a lottery. The lucky winner of the main prize – the LCD TV, was an employee of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”, Vyacheslav Bystritsky.

Besides, the best goalkeeper in individual nominations was a player of the Association “Berkut” Artem Adyasov, and Dmitry Dmitriev was rightly named the star of the tournament. 

The team-winner – the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut” – was awarded the temporary Cup with shots of a pneumatic salute, which, for one year before the next race, went to Nizhny Novgorod.
