Breathe deeply: “Volna-FFC” unhands victory

On March, 5^th the match between the team of the “Berkut” sports club and “Volna-FFC” ended “in a draw” with 3:3.

The match was decisive for “Volna-FFC” in some measure. The last round that strong and self-sufficient team lost in the equal fight to the “Nakta-credit” team. And the defeat in that match deleted them from the contenders for the League title with a certain probability. Among the rivals – “Berkut”, which this season almost has not been beaten yet. There was definitely something to see, and therefore in the stands of the “Meschersky” sports complex there was almost full house – nice figures of clearly more than 100 people.

“Berkut” started the game actively, where Kirillov hit with his left working leg. But “Volna-FFC” replied so strongly – it was Maxim Serebryakov, who hit exactly the ball from the flank under the crossbar. Adyasov was powerless! 1-0. “Berkut” took the ball and the pass began almost around the penalty of Karasev. But there was unforced loss, the ball, offensively for the “Berkut” team, remained almost on the sideline, and “Volna-FFC” ran away in “two to zero”. Rogozhin assisted the partner exactly. 2-0! “Berkut” had to include a “plan B” to the game urgently, because everything was perfect for “Volna-FFC” – two-goal advantage, deliberate playing with counterattacks, fast players, perfect for that plan. However, accelerated the pace of the game, “Berkut” could seriously disturb the “Volna” team – Karasev saved the situation three times, and once the ball was removed from the leg of Kubyshkin. But anyway, this norm of dangerous moments for “Berkut” was understated along with other matches. “Volna” focused on the key players of “Berkut”, and sometimes attacked Bystritsky and Kirillov almost by all three. And then, when the ball was taken, the players in white flew to counterattack, which was much more dangerous, than the slow pressure of “Berkut’. In addition, the players of “Volna”, going to replace, were ready to sacrifice themselves to save the gate. For example, Alexander Potapov in that match was charged to fight, jumped in tackles, almost constantly was in motion. And in addition, at the end of the half “Volna-FFC” performed the third goal – Serebryakov well figured on the flank and rolled the ball to Ageev. 3-0! That was a cold shower for the champions. 

Not many people believed that in the second half things could be changed. “Berkut” should continue going ahead and “Volna” could better catch them in the gaps of the defense. And Serebryakov, Ageev, Svyatkin and other can run away from anyone. “Volna-FFC” is the fastest team of the Premier-League. “Berkut” had a chance in the beginning, Bystritsky hit almost point-blank, but the ball missed. Then there was a period of the match, when “Volna-FFC” could solve everything and look forward to the match with “Vertex”. Maxim Serebryakov twice approached to the opponent’s gate, and the first time he gave a perfect pass to Svyatkin, but the goalkeeper of “Berkut” saved the situation. And in the second case Maxim himself gave too strong pass. Add to that a kick of Savchenko, and it turns out that “Volna-FFC” was very close to a final victory. “Berkut” for all this time could remember a nice moment too, performed by Dmitriev. But he couldn’t find a new way into the empty net from two meters. Soon “Berkut” replaced the goalkeeper and the game through the fifth became much more successful. It all started with the fact that Svyatkin lost the ball in an unforced situation, and decided to mend his ways, but could do it only by breaking the rules. And Kirillov performed a free kick perfectly, initiating the salvation of “Berkut”. Soon after playing the fifth, Rodin struck perfectly into the corner of the gate, and at the end of the match Bystritsky hit exactly after a pass of Kirillov from the penalty area, when the nerves of some players of “Volna-FFC” were at the limit. The score of a draw can’t definitely please the players of “Volna-FFC”, which worsened their position seriously for the last two matches. Well, who is glad to the score of a draw more than others? Of course, “Vertex”.
