THE CENTRAL OFFICE OF THE ASSOCIATION OF GUARD AND LEGAL COMPANIES “BERKUT” WAS VISITED BY THE JOINT DELEGATION OF HEADS OF PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS OF VETERANS OF THE MIA BODIES OF NIZHNY NOVGOROD AND THE REGION.

The central office of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut” was visited by the joint delegation of heads of public organizations of veterans of the MIA bodies of Nizhny Novgorod and the region.

         The delegation was headed by Chairman of the Board of the veteran organization of the bodies of internal affairs of Nizhny Novgorod region, an honorary citizen of Nizhny Novgorod, Major-General of the police Petr Ivanovich Sibirev. It consisted of:

  • Alexander Nikolaevich Kazakov – Chairman of the regional public organization of war veterans of law-enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation;
  • Alexandr Borisovich Buslaev – First Deputy Chairman of the veteran organization of the bodies of internal affairs of Nizhny Novgorod region;
  • Igor Vitalievich Fateev – Deputy Chairman of the regional public organization of war veterans of law-enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation.

The Organizing Committee on preparation and holding of the event was headed by Sergey Dmitrievich Ovchinnikov – a veteran of the fighting, Head of one of the divisions of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”, who before had been elected as Deputy Chairman of the regional public organization of war veterans of law-enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation. 

The receiving party was headed by Pavel Vladlenovich Kovalev – General Director of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”, member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council of the Russian Interior Ministry – Coordinator for the Volga Federal district.  

The honorary guests were also met by: Yury Valerievich Novozhilov – Director of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”, Alexander Vasilievich Sidorenko – Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut”, Vladimir Vladimirovich Degtev – Head of the Unified Duty Department of Nizhny Novgorod private security organizations.

The meeting of leaders of public organizations of veterans of the MIA bodies for Nizhny Novgorod region and the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut” had a working character and was devoted to the further improvement of the joint work on the implementation of social projects to assist veterans and current employees of the MIA, military-patriotic and legal education of the younger generation, as well as using the experience of the MIA veterans in practice on organizing the interaction of private security structures with the MIA bodies, improving the image of private security and the profession of a private security guard.

Pavel Vladlenovich Kovalev briefed the guests on the main directions and results of operations, as well as the prospects of development of the Association of guard and legal companies “Berkut”, where today more than 3,000 employees work in 104 cities across the country. Although the economic situation in the country is not simple, the Association “Berkut” shows a good growth.

The structure of investments of the Association is aimed at the definitive implementation of its development strategy and improving the quality of security services and includes priority funding to:

  1. Improvement of the professional level of all categories of the Association staff at the Academy of Security “Berkut”, which today is one of the leading specialized educational institutions of Russia. More than 165 000 people used its services in various areas of educational work.

In 2014 there was implemented an investment project on creating a branch of the Academy in Kstovo.

  1. Development of a social infrastructure of the Association, aimed at:

-         Creation of favorable working conditions for employees;

-         Staff motivation and prevention of employees’ turnover by strict compliance with social obligations to employees.

  1. Continued implementation of the Program of charitable activities of the Association.

This purpose is realizing long-term social projects:

The “Berkut” Sports club”, which became the silver medalist of the Russian championship on mini-football in 2014. And in the seasons of 2013-2014 the club won the championship on mini-football of Nizhny Novgorod three times in a row.

The “Berkut” Corporate café”. During 2014 the café provided employees of the Association with more than 12 500 free lunches.

  1. Improving the quality of security services through the accelerated development of the technical component of ensuring security to the protected objects, using modern information technologies.

In reply, Chairman of the Board of the veteran organization of the internal affairs bodies of Nizhny Novgorod region Major-general of the police Petr Ivanovich Sibirev informed the participants of the meeting about the main directions and results of operations of the Board for the year of 2014 and plans for 2015.

Petr Ivanovich Sibirev stressed that the Council of the veteran organization of the MIA of Nizhny Novgorod region and the Association “Berkut” have a considerable experience of working together to assist veterans of the MIA, presented a monograph about the history of the Nizhny Novgorod police to the head of the Association “Berkut”, as well as memories of veterans of the regional bodies of the MIA, prepared and published with the assistance of the Council. 

Igor Vitalievich Fateev informed the participants of the meeting about activities of the regional public organization of war veterans of law-enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation on military-patriotic education of the younger generation. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Association “Berkut” for a systematic, active and effective assistance in preparing and carrying out activities with pupils of military-patriotic clubs of Nizhny Novgorod region.

Next, the participants visited the Unified Duty Department of Nizhny Novgorod private security organizations. Its leader, Vladimir Vladimirovich Degtev acquainted the guests with the organization and results of its work, experience in organizing the interaction of private security organizations with the MIA bodies for prevention and suppression of offences and crimes.

The guests with great interest familiarized with the process and model range of special clothing and uniforms, produced by the Sewing Manufacture of the Association. Head of the Sewing Manufacture, a professional fashion designer Galina Fedorovna Ryabova acquainted the guests with samples of uniforms, developed in the Association and already used by the private security, as well as the main directions of the Concept of developing uniforms for private security guards for the future, developed in the Sewing Manufacture of the Association, taking into account modern requirements to functional, aesthetic and protective properties of their uniforms, as well as the specifics of different types of objects, on which they operate. 

Alexander Vasilievich Sidorenko – Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Security “Berkut”, acquainted the guests with the training facilities and organization of training of private security guards and advanced training of heads of private security organizations at the Academy of Security “Berkut”. The specialized class of tactical-special training was of particular interest for members of the delegation, which leads a practical training of groups of the RRT and staff of the security replacement of various categories of objects.

Then the members of the delegation with great interest got acquainted with the exposition of the Museum of private security. Petr Ivanovich Sibirev stressed that the establishment and work of the museum is one of the most important forms of work to improve the image of the private security and prestige of the profession of a private security guard.

Petr Ivanivich handed to the exposition of the Museum his monograph “On guard of Russia”, devoted to the history of the Nizhny Novgorod police from 1718 to 2012, and signed the book of honorable guests of the Museum.

Besides, the guests got acquainted with the work and menu of the corporate café “Berkut”, which provided free meals for members of the Association team.

Following the meeting, Petr Ivanovich Sibirev and Pavel Vladlenovich Kovalev outlined a set of joint activities on further improvement of collaboration in the implementation of social projects to assist veterans and current law enforcement officers, military-patriotic and legal education of the younger generation, as well as using the experience of the MIA veterans in practice on organizing the interaction of private security structures with the MIA bodies, improving the image of the private security and the profession of a private security guard.
