Colonel-General of the police Alexander Gorovoy at the meeting with Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Pavel Kolobkov, President of the Russian Football Union Nikolay Tolstykh and representatives of football clubs discussed the issues of ensuring safety during the preparation and carrying out the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
Until the end of 2014 in all cities, where the football Championship matches are scheduled, specialized structures will be set up with the aim of coordinating activities of bodies of internal affairs in the territorial divisions of the Russian MIA.
There was noted at the meeting the need for mandatory participation of employees of Internal Affairs bodies in preparation of stewards, employees of private security organizations and security services, engaged in policing the matches.
At the end of the meeting with the aim of coordinated and comprehensive preparation for the Championship there was proposed to work out the issue about creation a constantly operating inter-ministerial working group at the Ministry of Sports with inclusion of representatives of executive authorities, interested organizations, public associations.
