The Battle of Giants, or “Berkut” against “Vertex”

The next matches ended in the Premier League. On January 29^th a football match between the teams of “Berkut” and “Vertex” took place at the sports complex “Meshchersky”.

            Fighting between two leaders of the regional championship aroused a genuine interest in the camp of fans, who occupied the whole platform.

Alexander’s Prosvirnov wards began to storm the opponent’s gates from the first minutes of the game, but “Vertex” didn’t allow the ambitious collective to go far, so that there were two “two” on the scoreboard by break time.   

In the second half (and, as a rule, in this part of the game the most interesting things happen) Alexey Chegolin, receiving a pass from the left side, led the club forward again. Soon Alexander Krasilnikov reminded himself, who shifted from the penalty area line to the left and irresistibly scored to the far “nine”. “Who’s who?”…

Anton Solovyov, left for a moment without the supervision by defenders of “white”, celebrated his success, and then Alexander Kubyshkin scored “hat-trick”. He did it beautifully, in his own manner, running away from the right edge and with a reversal in the fall through all players sending the ball on a date with a net – the tribune applauded!

Three minutes later Maxim Kirillov could distinguish, but the free-kick near the goal net was so powerful that “shell” whizzed above the crossbar.

In one of counterattacks “Vertex” reduced the backlog – Rashid Kamaletdinov gave an exact pass to Evgeniy Rodin, and he didn’t miss. Many fans started talking of “peace”, when the same Rodin at the far post could score “hat-trick”, and little later Sergey Sizov struck powerfully from the penalty area line.

But “Berkut” persevered and got in its asset cherished three points, which allowed the team to lead the standings.
