SECURITY BUSINESS: LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE

On December 15 in Yekaterinburg the meeting of the CEOs of the Russian private security agencies with the representatives of European security and IT- companies on the issue “Security business: looking into the future” took place.

The meeting was held in the form of the author's seminar of Alexei Chirkov, the former head of the Russian branch of the largest international security company G4S.

The seminar was attended by the CEOs of private security organizations from Yekaterinburg, Miass, Volgograd, Tyumen, Orel, Surgut, Ufa, Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Byisk, Arkhangelsk and Perm.

A delegation of the Association of guard and legal firms “Berkut” consisting of the Chairman of the Academic Council of non-state educational establishment “Berkut Security Academy” Sidorenko A.V. and “Berkut – PCN” (Berkut – Central Surveillance Point) CEO Taktaeva A.V. represented Privolzhskiy Federal District.

The seminar included a discussion of a number of questions on the European and global security business experience, in particular, the application of modern technologies in the management organization of private security agencies, risk assessment, pricing, customer relations and security services quality management.

Sidorenko A.V., the representative of the Association of guard and legal firms “Berkut”, stressed in his speech that taking into account the helpfulness of the global experience we still should not mechanically apply it to the Russian ground a lot. After all, there are examples in a number of sectors of our country economy that show it does not always bring the desired results. Security business is no exception here. Unfortunately, the new “trans-Russian” players in the market of security services do not yet offer the services as was expected, which would be qualitatively different from those of an average regional security organization. Meanwhile we are clearly seeing the extensive way of their development...

In Russia the formation of its own national school of security business management is coming to an end in the face of private security organizations CEOs who have been successfully working for 10 - 15 years in very tough realities of our country. And the task is to collect, organize, explore this unique experience and make it security community legacy. As for the foreign experience, it can and should become an essential component of a succinct concept of “national school of security business management”.
