The representatives of the Coordination Council at the Chief Directorate of the MIA of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod region and the Coordination Council of the MIA of Russia in Privolzski Federal District donated arms of the Great Patriotic War design to the museum of the Police Chief Directorate.

At the meeting, Pavel Kovalev presented a gift to the museum of the Police - a light gun by Degtyarev DP-27 (Degtyarev Infantry), a sample of 1927, which was in service with the Soviet Army in 1927 - 1950, besides, it was used by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Soviet Union to eliminate armed gangs.

The CEO of “Berkut” presented the museum a light gun by Degtyarev, a sample of 1944, which was in service with the Soviet Army from 1944 to 1952.

Neither Petr Ivanovich Sibirev left the Museum of the Chief Directorate behind. He presented the pistol “Makarov”, decorated with gold monograms in a box specially designed for it. “It will now be showing off at our museum in a prominent place so that the visitors admire the original pattern on the gun”,  assured the Museum curator Alexander Pavlovich.

In his turn, General Tsiganov donated to the Museum a light gun RP-46, constructed by A. Shilin and P. Polyakov. The light gun with 200 rounds of ammunition on the belt, with a rate of 600 rounds per minute attracted a great interest among the Police officers: generals and colonels. Like boys, the grown-up men with fiery eyes were looking at the light gun RP-46, were holding it in their hands and “were weighing it”.

According to Andrey Shmonin, the exhibits are very interesting both for the kids who come to the Museum of the Chief Directorate and for adults, the Police officers. “When kids, we saw it only in the movies, listened to the stories about it from the fathers and grandfathers who fought with these weapons. And now in our museum all visitors will be able to see and touch this weapon with their own hands: pupils, students of the Police Academy and Police officers. Another milestone in the history of our Motherland will be represented at the Museum of the Chief Directorate” , told Andrei Borisovich.
