Metropolitan Georgi of Nizhniy Novgorod and Arzamas expressed his gratitude to the private security guards of “Berkut” Association

The Easter services took place in the Cathedral of Blessed St. Prince Alexander Nevsky in Nizhny Novgorod. Metropolitan Georgi of Nizhniy Novgorod and Arzamas led the Festive Easter service of Matins and Divine Liturgy. The Festivities were held on the night of May 4^th to 5^th, 2013. They were attended by over 2000 church goers.

To ensure safety during these mass events of such a level, the Authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod Archdiocese of the Russian Orthodox Church applied to the administration of the Association of security and law firms “Berkut”.

This choice is determined by the fact that the Association “Berkut” has accumulated considerable experience in cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod Archdiocese ROC in providing services for such events; the officers have been trained respectively. The Churches administration of Nizhniy Novgorod has repeatedly praised their confident and professional actions. In particular, the rector of the Church of Alexander Nevsky Archpriest Sergius presented to the Museum of private security created by the Association “Berkut” the image of St. Seraphim of Sarov in honor of the 20^th anniversary of the private security as a token of appreciation to Nizhny Novgorod guards for the exemplary performance of their duties.

At the stage of the preparation for an event of this level, the Department of the “Berkut” Association carried out a detailed analysis of the various options for a possible development of the situation at the venue of the festivities, the zone of security and control were clearly defined and the actions of the security during the event depending on the prevailing situation were practiced. Particular attention was paid to the interaction organization with the Church staff and the ROC at the public venue of the church goers as well as with the MIA and with private security of VIP-persons who took part in the event.

After a detailed briefing and practical training of various options of actions when ensuring safety of the church goers, the best guards from the Association were sent to perform this difficult but honorable task.

The preparatory work that was done has given good results. The Festive Easter service of Matins and Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Blessed St. Prince Alexander Nevsky took place in a calm atmosphere and nothing alloyed the great festival.

Metropolitan Georgi of Nizhniy Novgorod and Arzamas expressed his sincere appreciation to the guards of the Association “Berkut” for the professionalism and reliability while ensuring the safety of the church goers and the Christian holy sites during the event of such a level.
