Getting ready for the reforms in the MIA of Russia

As the press service of the MIA of Russia reports, the purpose of its establishment is to provide real cooperation with the expert community, with those who are familiar with the service in the internal affairs structures and who offered constructive solutions. The group consists of 31 people. It includes well-known human rights activists, deputies, lawyers and experts with experience in the MIA of Russia and other law enforcement agencies - in particular, the lawyers Henry Reznik and Anatoly Kucherena, the deputies of the Duma Vladimir Vasiliev and Alexander Khinshtein, the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council committee on defense and Security Alexandr Chekalin, Alexander Gurov, LLD, professor, General-Lieutenant in retirement.

"The MIA of Russia moves to the next stage of reform, during which the effectiveness of the realized reforms will be assessed and the following steps will be determined. The Working Group will be developing both a strategy for further reforms and offer their own solutions for the issues. Reform goals remain the same - to create a highly professional, authoritative and trusted by the public service of the internal affairs structures", - was noted in the department report.

The following was included in approximate list of issues for consideration at the meetings of the extended working group: development of a new system of tracing persons unaccounted for, the creation of a basically new system of application and reports registration on the crimes from citizens and organizations, development of new criteria for the evaluation of internal affairs structures activities, the abolition of the "must-do-plan system" and the optimization of organizational Police structures, the development of fundamentally new approaches to personnel work, the development of forms of cooperation with human rights organizations, the introduction of modern information technologies, regulatory and legal acts improvement.
