On November 10, 2010 in the Conference Hall of the Head Office of Internal Affairs Nizhniy Novgorod region took place a ceremonial celebration on the occasion of the professional holiday of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, in which Director General of the Berkut Association P. V. Kovalev was invited. In a ceremonial atmosphere the Nizhniy Novgorod Militia servicemen were greeted by the Chief of the Nizhniy Novgorod region Internal Affairs Directorate, Militia Lieutenant General Victor Bratanov. He pointed out that “Militia service has always given the lead of adherence to duty, selflessness and oath. It has set an example of full alert to come to rescue anyone in need. Militia employees are invariably conspicuous. Quite often, even if it carries high life dangers, the officers do their best to contribute to consolidation of law, order and public safety. All risks and troubles of dangerous and hard Militia service are justified by the saved lives of our fellow citizens, by piece and order maintained. People wearing militia uniform are under inexorable demands and evaluations, the strictest and the most objective of which is people's attitude and the level of confidence”.
The Chief of Internal Affairs Directorate congratulated all Nizhniy Novgorod Militia servicemen with their professional holiday wishing them good health, every professional success and has presented them with government and department awards. On the threshold of the occasion the General issued a rewarding order for 319 servicemen of the Internal Affairs Department. Nizhniy Novgorod Militia employers were as well greeted by Victor Lunin – the Chairman of Legislative Assembly, by the Deputy Governor of Nizhniy Novgorod – Vladimir Ivanov, Nizhniy Novgorod City Major – Oleg Sorokin and by Michael Barkovskiy - President of Nizhniy Novgorod Regional Voluntary Public Support Fund of all-russian political party “United Russia”. On behalf of Nizhniy Novgorod regional Coordination Council of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate on cooperation with non-governmental security organizations the servicemen were greeted by Pavel Vladlenovich Kovalev – a member of the Coordination Council Presidium of the Maintenance of Public Order Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Privolzhskiy Federal District Coordinator. P.V. Kovalev highlighted in his speech that professional activity and everyday work of Nizhniy Novgorod Militia officers is in close contact with people, their personal misfortunes and tragedies. Whatever happens in the city – militia officers are always in the thick of the events ready for action, to protect law, order, secure safety and piece as well as to protect constitutional rights, honor and dignity of every Nizhniy Novgorod citizen. The Coordination Council and private security services on Nizhniy Novgorod soil are willing to cooperate in any way to help the organs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in their fight against crime and to help to protect law, order and public security in our beautiful city.
Members of the Coordination Council Presidium rewarded the best district militia officers with very useful presents such as road scooters. The devices were to help the officers to become more mobile and as a result to improve efficiency of their important service duties. |
