On October 30th, 2008 the management of Berkut Association participated in the meeting of the Nizhny Novgorod Association of the Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Among the participants of the meeting were Mr. V.N. Evlampiev, Head Federal Inspector for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Mr. V.N. Lunin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Mr. N.P. Sataev, Minister of Industry and Innovations, Mr. S.G. Nekrasov, Chairman of the Regional Trade Union, Mr. S.F. Spitsin, Head of the Administration of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, heads of federal and regional supervisory bodies, Mr. A.A. Kozeradskiy, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Mr. D.G. Krasnov, Chairman of the Board, General Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and heads of enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The President of the Nizhny Novgorod Association of the Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Mr.V.I. Luzyanin opened and presided at the meeting. Mr. N.P. Sataev, Minister of Industry and Innovations, made a report. He summarized and evaluated the activities of industrial enterprises within 9 months this year and pointed out principal challenges and goals of industrial development. "The current economic situation has a negative effect on industrial production. In addition to such challenges as increased production expenses, high wear and tear of fixed assets and lack of qualified staff, enterprises now experience negative impact of the world financial crisis", stated the Minister. "The most important issue today is the cooperation between the banks and industrial enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and restoration of the stable banking activities. If the restoration process extends for a longer period, we may lose our production. In conclusion I would like to say that we will provide all possible assistance to enterprises within our powers and help with new challenges in these hard times".

During the meeting of the  Association of the Industrialists and Entrepreneurs the participants made suggestions for stabilizing the economic situation in conditions of financial crisis which will be submitted to the Nizhny Novgorod Association of the Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
