A scientific conference “Acute Problems of Economical Safety. Regional Aspects” took place on December 6, 2006 in Nizhny Novgorod in Volgo-Vytsky Academy of Civil Service. The conference was organized by the Trade Industrial Chamber of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Association of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs, the Academy of Civil Service, the Academy of Safety, Defence and Law and Order, the Association of Industrial Order and some other state and commercial organizations and professional societies of Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow. The participants of the conference were deputies of RF State Duma, representatives of the Chief department of regional safety of Moscow Region government, the Department of economical safety, Commission on safety of Moscow City Duma. The Association “Berkut” was also invited to participate in the conference. 

  The aims of the conference were:

- organization of dialogue between business structures and regional government to strengthen cooperation in the field of economical safety of business;
- exchange of practical experience in providing safety at enterprises and in the city;
-  present state and acute problems of economic safety in business and their regional aspects.

  The following questions were discussed: peculiarities of providing safety in different spheres of business, modern methods and means of providing safety, complex approach to providing safety, and many others. 

The topic of the conference provoked much interest from entrepreneurs of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The participants had a chance to exchange experience with their colleagues from Moscow and ask questions to representatives of the Government.
