On the 10th of September there was a holiday event devoted to the Day of Kanavinsky Region. A big number of guests and citizens of Nizhny Novgorod gathered on Revolution Square. They participated in the concert, in the lottery and other entertaining events.
The public order was maintained by Association of Guard and Legal Companies "Berkut". The guards carried radios and means of personal safety. Some of them guarded the entrance of the shopping centre “Respublica”, others patrolled the territory of the square, preventing and suppressing illegal actions.
